The tools and techniques of international research are the same as domestic research, but the difference is environment in which the tools are applied. The environment determines how well the tools, techniques, algorithm and concept will use. Although the objective of the research may be the same, the execution of international research may differ substantially from the domestic research, because of different living style people’s inherited on earth, National tax policy, foreign currencies, mode of transportation, documentation strategy and many other indicators reflect the decision of substantial research outcome and differ between one geographical boarder to another.
Environmental relationships mandatory to maintain and relearned whenever a firm decides to enter into an international market. The number of changing dimension become increasingly geometrical and coordination of the interaction among the dimensions to reach company goal. In order to exercise some central control over the international operations, a firm must be able to compare results and activities across countries. Management also need to learn the culture of the host country, understanding the political system and label of stability, comprehend the existing difference in societal structure and language or expression.
Many firms do little research before they enter into a foreign market. Often, decisions concerning entry and expression in overseas markets and selection and appointment of distributors or service channels made after a cursory, subjective assessment of the situation. A major reason why managers are reluctant to engage in international research is their lack of sensibility to differences in culture, consumers testes and evaluation of market demand and social behavior. Another reason is lack of familiarity with national and international data sources and inability to use international data. Despite the barriers firms have, research is as important internationally as it is domestically. Research allows management to identify and develop international strategies, identification, evaluation, anticipate events and adequately prepare for changes.
